Feng Lu, Wanaka Tree (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

The photo was taken in October 2024. Before dawn that day, I went alone to the shore of Lake Wānaka. Under the starry sky, the Wānaka Tree lay asleep in the lake. As the first light of dawn illuminated the tree and the lake’s surface, the ripples near the shore shimmered, catching the light and creating a beautiful foreground. This provided the perfect scene for me to capture the image using a slow shutter speed.
