Brian Love, Visions of Sossusvlei (LANDSCAPE 2025)

Sossusvlei Namibia is home to rocky outcrops and valleys, dry pans, petrified trees and stunning red dunes. Some of these dunes are among the tallest in the world. In and of itself, these stunning landscapes are a landscape photographers dream. I chose this series of images because of the juxtaposition of trees or wildlife against these magnificent landscapes. Apart from adding a secondary dimension, I believe this also conveys a sense of scale. We were also there after some of the best rainfall the area had seen in more than a decade. This added green elements that are not usually present.
