Jason Harris, Too much too soon (SINGLE SHOT 2026)

Ospreys are a truly inspiring bird to witness at close range and they are a frequent sight in Dunsborough, a coastal town in WA. While walking along the foreshore, I looked up to a branch where I found this Osprey devouring a Flounder which it had caught along the coastline. It was making solid progress initially but in its mind it perhaps thought unwanted company would arrive, therefore needing to finish the meal in a quicker fashion. In doing so, it swallowed too big of a mouthful leading it to drop some from its beak unintentionally. The beautiful seabird learnt its lesson soon enough though and eventually finished off its capture.
