Raelene Pitcher, the visitors (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)

The yellow tailed black cockatoos are an infrequent but very welcome visitor to our local parkland. We had a lot of windfall from storms earlier in the year. The cockatoos enjoyed pulling the wood apart while looking for bugs. I was luck enough to be able to sit amongst them with the birds totally unconcerned by my presence while they spent time playing and shredding the wood.
