Kathy Brown, The Surfer (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

A surfer at the tail end of a huge and powerful wave during a massive winter swell that pounded the coastline and tested only the bravest. Jet skies were used as tow ins and i captured this one surfer as the wave took him way down the beach and into the glaring sunlight. I love the way he is silhouetted and the section of wave lit up showing the power in the white water despite the wave beginning to taper off. Captured at the wall at Iluka Beach, NSW.
