Snow gums are one of Australia's iconic trees, however few appreciate what a struggle it is for some of these trees to actually survive the harsh environment above 1400 metres. High winds, and snow, plays havoc with their growth if they survive. This is a photographic story of magnificent trees that are often between a rock and a hard place..... literally.
