Linda Brown, The salt lake canvas (AERIAL 2025)
The colours in our salt lakes resemble spilt paint, with the pigments melting into eachother, creating textures and hues as the minerals and compounds mix together, resulting in a breathtaking canvas of elements that when viewed from above sometimes defy description. Ever changing from each day to the next, the patterns are only ever temporary, existing only in the moment as the weather and rainfall shape the lake bed and the ebb and flow of the water create a natural artwork.
