Laura Crimmins, The Quiet Knowing (PEOPLE 2025)
This is my Nan, aged 99. In these quiet portraits, I captured her during what would be the final weeks of her life, brushing her hair, sitting in reflection, wrapped in the stillness that often comes with knowing our time is nearing its end. There was no dramatic goodbye, just moments. Small, sacred gestures that now feel heavy with meaning. She carried almost a century of life in her hands, her eyes, and her silence. This series is a tribute to her strength, her grace, and the quiet knowing she held as she gently let go.
