SCOTT KRISTIAN KELLEHER, THE KEROUAC KID (PEOPLE 2025)
A combination of conceptual portraiture with my young bloke starring, and also a study of light in the afternoon sun of Cootamundra, rural NSW. In getting reacquainted with film photography we set out, armed with a 68 Yashica Lynx loaded with a roll of Ilford Super 400 down to the news agent, firstly, to funnily enough purchase The Mono Awards edition of Australian Photography. Here we made our reflection shot which shows the town clock in the background. Then we headed to the old Coota West Railway Station. I took the Sony as a means of measuring the light to hopefully mimic my settings and get the wanted exposure with the Yashica. The final image was made at home indoors and under fixed lighting with the Nikon D750, in camera multiple exposure, to conclude our little adventure. DISCLAIMER: Model was paid handsomely in his favourite currency. Jelly Babies. Film in Yashica yet to be processed. Stay tuned for next year. That's if they worked?
