Dina Nicolaides, The Grey Crowned Crane (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)

Portraits of the Grey Crowned Crane stole the show with its stunning appearance. Its spiky straw-colored crest, dark grey to slate body, and lighter grey neck edged in black, rust brown, and yellow feathers made it a standout amidst the grasses in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. One of my favourite birds to observe in Tanzania and Kenya.
