Gareth Berglund, The Goodbye (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

Saying goodbye to my daughter's seven children, my grandchildren, after visiting them in Adelaide in January 2025. I had grown close to the children during my stay, teaching the older children how to play guitar and taking them out for walks and ice creams during the hot summer days so that their mum (my daughter) and her partner could have a break. As I left their house, I turned around to wave goodbye and felt compelled to capture this bittersweet moment as the kids said their goodbyes in different ways.
