Glenda Gore, The Chaos of India (CREATIVE 2025)

This image was captured in India, whilst a sacred temple drew me in initially, it was the scene just outside the temple gates that truly caught my attention. Looking down the street, I was struck by the intricate, layered chaos of everyday life—an entanglement of wires, people, shops, movement, and colour; it felt like a distilled essence of India itself. What appeared as chaos was, in fact, a vibrant and deeply structured rhythm of life. Through this photograph, I aimed to reflect that first impression—the layered complexity, the unexpected harmony, and the raw beauty that revealed itself when I stopped to really look.
