Vanessa Haines , The Bride (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

This beautiful Church is called Hallgrimskirkja and it is the very centre of Reykjavik downtown. The architecture was inspired by the trap rocks, mountains and glaciers of Iceland's landscape, I myself saw its design throughout my journey in Iceland at Svartifoss and Studigoss. after arriving in Iceland I stayed awake for 20 hours to capture this amazing photo at midnight, capturing the setting sun on the front of the building casting a golden glow that is enhanced by the blue of the sky behind it. I named this photograph The Bride, because in scripture the Church is the bride of Christ, Christ loves, and cares for the church like His Bride and it a statement of His love, care and protection of the Church, who is made up of His people.
