Geoff Treagus, Stars and Reflections (PEOPLE 2025)

These photos are part of a larger collection, which were produced after a couple of separate shoots, as well as multiple discussions over drinks and nibblies, about our place in the world, in terms of personal, social, and cultural perceptions. Originally I had considered using masks, as in my other creative role of painter, I had created a series about masks over a decade ago. But I'm glad we went with stars and reflections, as its given a different range of dynamics to explore, whilst still producing a lot of fodder for dialogue, in terms of our place in the universe, society, and our own hearts. I also wanted to try a number of different styles, whilst having a common theme to allow everything to 'fit', not just in terms of continued use of items or props, but in terms of having an overarching narrative, which by its very nature is full of variety and dynamic forces at play.
