Glenda Gore , Sri Lankan Vibes (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

Wandering the streets of Negombo, camera in hand, I turned a corner and found it—a mosque standing proud and still amidst the swirl of life. The street around it pulsed with motion: tuk-tuks darting, children laughing, vendors calling out under the weight of the midday heat. In-camera, I layered those fleeting fragments—movement, architecture, the blur of faces—trying to capture a multiple exposure of what it felt like in that moment. Mayhem, yes. But beautiful mayhem. Chaos braided with rhythm, noise softened by pockets of joy. My first impression of Sri Lanka wasn’t still or silent—it was alive, layered, unapologetically real. And in that moment, I didn’t just see it—I felt it.
