Ngaire Hart, Snow Monkeys of Japan (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)

On the 1.8 km walk into the hot pools where 14 monkeys were bathing, it was -10 degrees Celcius and at times snowing so hard the camera refused to focus. Accustomed to humans the monkey were going about their daily activities, slipping in and out of the hot water, grooming each other, looking for food or just chilling out.
