Kathy Brown, Sitting Pretty (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)

This delightful little Rufous Fantail (Rhipidura rufifrons) came and landed right next to me as i walked through the stunning littoral rainforest of Bundjalung National Park in Iluka. Usually a fast and flitty bird that won't stop for too long i was surprised to find it stayed a while, jumping about on the branch in front of me in the most beautiful light allowing me to get some lovely shots of the little bird. The rainforest made for such a beautiful background contrasting with the auburn and light colours of this beautiful rufous fantail. Captured in the world heritage rainforest at Iluka, NSW.
