Caitlyn Deigan, Shaped by Salt & Tides: Ephemeral Patterns from Above (AERIAL 2025)

Nature draws and erases with salt, water and time - this aerial series captures those fleeting moments in between. From tide-rippled sand to fractured salt flats and lonely trees marooned in mud, each image reveals a landscape shaped by forces both gentle and relentless. Seen from above, these terrains become abstract expressions of impermanence - patterns that exist only until the next tide. Shot in the Northern Territory, these four images are a quiet tribute to costal environments in flux - where change is constant, and beauty often passes unnoticed.
