Peter Ogden, SAME BUT DIFFERENT (LANDSCAPE 2025)

We have trodden this path on countless occasions, and each time it has been completely different. The Willunga Trig walking track in Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, NSW, offers amazing views from the highest lookout point in the park for not a lot of effort. This was our go-to when the boys were younger – they got a taste of adventure and didn’t get tired, as it’s a short but steep trek. They even christened a large rocky outcrop... ‘Snack Rock’ became our halfway point to stop for a nibble before pressing on to the top, and the trig point. The trig is marked by a big lightning rod, which, as you can see by some of the images, is probably not the best place to stand in certain weather conditions. This is one of our safe places, one of our happy places. This land is very special and has given us so much.
