Byron Tan, Saltlight Passage (TRAVEL 2025)

Chaka Salt Lake is a natural saline lake nestled in the Qaidam Basin of western China. Known for its reflective surface, it creates surreal mirror-like landscapes—especially at sunrise and sunset—where sky, water, and salt flats blur into one harmonious canvas. The lake has long been a site of salt harvesting and now draws photographers and travelers for its dreamlike vistas.
