Shantel Bolton, Roller Derby Personalities (PEOPLE 2026)

Roller Derby is such an inclusive sport which I've tried to reflect in my photos. While a lot of photographers like to focus on the action shots, I'm drawn to the "behind the scenes" moments. The moments between friends and team mates, between refs when reviewing calls, between jams when catching a breath and the moments of intense focus from the fans. Having played the sport myself on and off for over 10 years, I'm comfortable around the track, use my knowledge of the game, to capture these moments.
