Dylan Spencer, Quiet Grace (ANIMAL & NATURE 2026)
While tracking a family of shelducks early one morning, the flock began to move on, leaving this single duckling momentarily separated from the safety of its parents. In that brief window, the young bird put on a stunning display of natural behavior, completely bathed in beautiful morning light. This portfolio captures those fleeting seconds of independence—moving from a confident, eye-to-eye gaze into active movement, before settling into quiet, elegant moments of preening. The sequence frames a brief pause in a grander journey before the duckling quickly reunited with its family.
