Ingrid Kuster, Playing dur in the Bhutanese forest (TRAVEL 2026)
Dur (darts as we know it) is a popular national Bhutanese sport. Men gather in the forests during the weekend to play the game in teams. When a team member scores a bullseye, they are awarded a ribbon which they attach to the belt of their traditional dress, called a Gho. Their team perform a dance and sing in celebration of the bullseye.
