Kerstin Lembke, Pastel Remnants (AERIAL 2025)
Once carved by industry, now sculpted by time, this aerial portrait of Lake Chandler’s ex-mine site in Western Australia reveals nature’s quiet reclamation. The landscape unfolds in soft pastel tones - dusty rose, muted sage, and chalky beige - like a watercolour wash over the Earth’s memory. From above, the land resembles abstract art: fluid, organic, and hauntingly beautiful. It’s a testament to how even the most altered landscapes can find grace again, if only we take the time to look.
