YORI HIROKAWA, On a volcanic jungle island (TRAVEL 2025)

Climbing through the pathless jungle, a volcano appeared. This is New Britain Island in Papua New Guinea. The volcano was impressive, but what struck me most was guide's barefoot. The forest children were full of smiles. And at night, fireflies gathered on just one tree. It was like a jungle Christmas tree. This trip showed me many different faces of PNG. (The firefly photograph is a multiple exposure.)
