Gail Stortz, Oh, the love of nature (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)
In the wild in a lagoon at Potato Point on the NSW south coast, I visited these swans twice daily for over a month. I watched them build a nest , lay eggs and then take turns sitting on the nest in some freezing temperatures. Then on day 35 the eggs began hatching - five of the six eggs hatched. - oh, the love of nature. So inspiring watching them take turns looking after their young.
