Patrick Tangye, Of Shadow and Sky (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)
These portraits of black cockatoos are an attempt to honour stillness. In their gaze I saw something steady: wild but grounded, delicate yet unyielding. They held their space with dignity, never posing, simply being. I wanted to capture that: not performance, but presence. Their feathers shimmered like constellations, their silence louder than any call. This series is not about flight, rather it’s about the quiet strength of rest.
