Sean Parker, Nepal's Tsum Valley - The Valley of Non-Violence (BLACK & WHITE 2025)

The Tsum Valley is located in the Nepalese Himalayas, close to the Tibetan border. It was designated by a Buddhist leader over 1000 years ago as a sacred valley and hidden refuge. It has been inhabited by people following Tibetan Buddhist beliefs of non-violence ever since. Access is only via a rugged donkey-track. The small villages spread throughout the valley are built with local materials and follow a traditional, rural way of Himalayan life - growing grain in summer and herding yaks and sheep through the harsh winter. I trekked for 7 days through the amazing scenery and was immersed in the local culture.
