Christine Sweeney, NATIVE BIRDS NATURAL ENVIRONMENT (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)

The clarity and crispness of the blue sky background as the wedgetail eagle glides towards the waning moon, circling for her breakfast, while the cheeky corellas do their usual high wire balancing act. The images were shot 3 months apart in 2025 The Whitsundays, Queensland and Dungog, country NSW. In both instances whilst capturing the behaviour of the birds in their natural habitat I was keen to also highlight the close up beauty and detail of the individual birds.
