I had been watching the Greater Crested Grebes interacting with each other and there was a lot of heightened activity as pair bonds were created. I was really hoping to see the Grebes come together in their dance presenting each other with something. Every time I saw the Grebes I appeared to have just missed this incredible moment until late one afternoon I saw a pair coming towards each other and thought could this be the moment where something magical was going to happen! To my delight that is exactly what happened as both Grebes presented to each other a beak full of water grasses and their interaction with each other gave me goose bumps and was so privileged to have been a silent witness to this union.
