Giovanna Donnithorne-Tait, Mountain Cheetahs (ANIMAL & NATURE 2026)

In the mountains of Berg-en-Dal, Kruger National Park, a cheetah is an unexpected encounter. They are built for flat, open savannah; speed is their only real weapon, and this terrain takes it from her. Her cub, guessing to be around 6-8 months old, won't be independent for another year yet. She has no choice but to continue succeeding in country that offers her nothing she was built for. Looking at their healthy bodies, this duo seems to be able to make it work.
