Paul Evans, Meccano Telescope (BLACK & WHITE 2026)

The Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank near Manchester in England played a crucial role in tracking spacecraft during the Cold War space race. Visiting the site, the intricate framework and shape of the telescope captured my imagination. I have rendered the telescope here in black and white to emphasise the Meccano set like construction and its appearance as part fairground attraction and part giant scientific instrument.
