Linda Shepherd, Lunchtime (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)

Watching the Rainbow Bee-eater perching on the branches of a fallen tree in the dam near Tibooburra, NSW, with their catch of a dragonfly, moving it around in it's beak and hitting it against the branch to kill it, was amazing to see, let alone to photograph. This beautiful bird was almost posing while eating her catch.
