This portfolio celebrates the extraordinary life of the comb-crested jacana, a bird whose oversized toes allow it to appear as though it walks on water. Moving lightly across floating lilies, the adult demonstrates both grace and precision, while its downy chicks mimic the same improbable feat on unsteady legs.
