Lauren Hellmich, Life on the Edge (ANIMAL & NATURE 2026)

This portfolio follows four glimpses of the coastal life, from catching fish to gathering as a colony. Over several days, I spent hours watching puffins in Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Spending this time with the colony allowed me to move beyond simply photographing the birds and capture the individuality and character of these remarkable seabirds.
