Chris Kirby, Lesser Violetear Hummingbirds (ANIMAL & NATURE 2025)

Of all the hummingbirds I saw in Costa Rica, the Lesser Violet Tear were the most attractive. When the sun caught their feathers they were shining like a jewel! It was a learning process working out how to catch and feeze motion with these incredily fast tiny birds.
