Mark Goldstein, Leopards of Sabi Sands (ANIMAL & NATURE 2026)

We encountered this large solitary male leopard while on safari near Kruger National Park in South Africa. Locals call this leopard who lives around the five-star Dulini Moya Sabi Sands resort, Scar. There were several female leopards about and one mother called Mumba near the solitary Jeki Airport in remote Zambia. We were extremely lucky to see her hunting a guinea fowl for her 10 week old cub, who had been waiting for her in the long grass. This leopard caught some early sun in Mana Pools, Zimbabwe. She is called Scar. The morning sun highlights her beauty.
