PAUL COLLIS, journey through India (TRAVEL 2025)

This small selection of images was taken during my trip to India in March 2025. Each frame is an attempt to capture a glimpse of the extraordinary diversity, ritual, and daily life of this incredible country. Image 1 – Brick Works A family works in the heat and dust of a brick factory. Amidst the harsh environment, a young boy cares tenderly for his infant sibling, capturing both resilience and responsibility. Image 2 – The Blessing In Varanasi, a baba who has renounced all worldly possessions offers a blessing. A woman bows deeply, her devotion reflected in the sacred ritual. Image 3 – Morning Light on the Ganges The Ganges is one of the world’s most sacred rivers, often crowded and busy with life. Yet, in the stillness of an early morning, a woman enters the water draped in red, bathed in golden light, embodying a rare moment of peace and solitude. Image 4 – Cow Refuge, Delhi At a cow refuge in Delhi, layers of life intertwine. People live and work here, preparing feed, collecting manure to sell as fuel, and offering food to the cows as an act of karma. This scene reflects the coexistence of faith, survival, and daily rhythm.
