Eric Wong, Invisible Foundation: the Workers of Singapore (PEOPLE 2025)

This photographic series offers an intimate glimpse into the lives and living conditions of Singapore’s workforce. While Singapore is renowned for its striking architecture and modern conveniences, beneath this polished exterior lies a community of workers—many of them foreign—whose contributions are vital yet often unseen. These individuals have played a crucial role in shaping the city’s landscape, yet their everyday realities remain largely overlooked. Through these images, I hope to illuminate their experiences and bring attention to the environments in which they live, fostering a deeper understanding of the human stories behind Singapore’s urban success.
