Andrew Xu, Instinct and Element (ANIMAL & NATURE 2026)

This portfolio explores the intersection of instinctual avian behaviour and environmental adversity. Shifting away from standard static profiles, these four frames capture raw survival, power, and tender life cycles: the explosive, high-speed velocity of a predatory strike, the quiet endurance of a waterlogged sparrow, the unsettling nictitating membrane of an endangered eagle, and the intimate, protective sheltering of a cygnet. The series presents a dynamic, documentary view of wildlife interacting with its harsh environment.
