Jen Williams, HOPE (CREATIVE 2025)

HOPE - Holding the rising Sun in the palm of your hand. This image was taken in February this year at Mona Vale. All of my artwork is taken with my DSLR camera inside my water housing. I take these moments submerged in the water. I usually get to the beach in the dark. It gives me time to start connecting to myself and my senses. Floating and moving around with the water as the sun rises I begin to dissolve into the water and am open to the magic around me. I am so proud of this moment. It shows the magic behind the veil. Bringing the unconscious and unseen to the conscious. The light hitting the water below the Sun looks like the palm of my hand, perfectly placed. This image represents the Hope I hold and am reminded of every time I go into the water at Sunrise. It is truly a magical experience.
