Sheena Suwart, Hard Lines, Hollow Echoes (BLACK & WHITE 2025)

These four black-and-white images were taken in a run-down carpark on a rainy day. Most people wouldn’t look twice at this space and they’d just walk through it. I wanted to slow down and notice what usually gets ignored: the geometry, the contrast, the texture, and how light hits concrete and brick. The symmetry and clashing patterns caught my eye, and I was interested in how something considered ugly or uninviting could still be visually interesting, maybe even beautiful. This series is about finding art in overlooked places.
