David Monk, Frame and Feeling (BLACK & WHITE 2025)

This black-and-white set captures moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed — a girl and her dog in the quiet of a home studio, street food cooks immersed in rhythm at the Queen Victoria Night Market, a chef framed in a kitchen window in Melbourne’s CBD, and the graphic calm of still water and pylons at Princes Pier. Different places and subjects, but each united by light, contrast, and a sense of stillness. For me, black and white strips things back to what matters — expression, shape, and story.
