Nick Plovits, Fleeting moments in the rain (BLACK & WHITE 2025)
I wanted to explore the fleeting moments of comradely people have during chance encounters while walking in the autumn rain. The heavy rain in autumn when the days get colder, darker. A spark of anticipation when a stranger approaches. That smile and maybe a comment “hows this rain”. a fleeting moment when you feel closer to another person as you both endure the wet weather. Then they disappear into the darkness. You continue the journey again up the dark, wet path…… but with maybe a smile. Taken in Glebe park, Canberra on very rainy day in early autumn.
