Nick Plovits, firey sky (LANDSCAPE 2025)

The sky erupted with light providing the show of a lifetime. The crowd of photographers standing on a cold dark hill all gasped as the lights from the Aurora got brighter and brighter then, it was gone. The Aurora on the 1st June 2025 was a spectacular night. Although the peak didn’t last long it made the many nights waiting in the dark all worthwhile. Taken around 20:15 on the 01/06/25. A bout 30 km south of Canberra near Williamsdale. Single images on a Sony a7C with Samyang 14mm at f 2.8 and 25 seconds at ISO 1000 and a7r with 24mm at f1.8 with 13 seconds at ISO 1000 both in RAW. Some editing in Lightroom but no AI or compilation.
