The geothermal area around Rotorua NZ is fascinating. The colours made by the different minerals and sulphur results in Nature's colour palette. While you are safe there is a little bit of trepidation and a reminder that the earth you are walking on is active, hot, steamy and sometimes poisonous. What an extraordinary planet we live on.
