ISABELLA HEALION, Eye to Eye (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

Waiting for departure from the Osaka cruise terminal, I noticed our balcony lined up perfectly with the city’s Ferris wheel. The wheel came alive in the afternoon, with families, couples, and travelers enjoying its gentle spin. I started waving to people, but with not so great eyesight, I couldn’t quite make out their reactions. So I grabbed my camera and used the railing as a tripod and to my surprise, people smiled when they spotted me. It was a lovely moment. Turns out, waving from boats (and Ferris wheels) really is a universal tradition.
