Laura Crimmins, Explore the Unknown (PEOPLE 2026)
This series explores childhood through movement, curiosity and sensory freedom along the coastline. Rather than asking for stillness, these images embrace it’s opposite — the climbing, splashing, balancing, wandering and constant motion that exists so naturally within some children. Photographed in monochrome, the absence of colour shifts the focus toward emotion, texture and expression, allowing fleeting moments of joy, intensity and exploration to become the centre of the work. At its core, this series is about freedom: the freedom to move, to feel deeply, to explore without restraint, and to exist authentically within the world around you.
