Grant Hunt, End of an Era (PEOPLE 2025)

The Fred Brophy Travelling Boxing tent has been a fixture at local fair grounds, country rodeos and outback towns for 43 years. Fred, a 4th generation showman has finally bowed to political correctness and announced that 2025 will be his last year. These pictures were captured at the Mount Isa Rodeo in August 2025 after a torrid day in the saddle for the cowboys and cowgirls competing in the Southern Hemisphere's largest and richest rodeo. Despite the fact that Fred's troupe of professional boxers take on locals wannabes off the streets, Fred is a stickler for safety and referees each match with concern for both fighters, ending some rounds early and checking closely on flights in between rounds.
