Gandhar Radhika, Colorpuff Girl (PEOPLE 2025)

Bella Cameron, also known as Colour Puff Girl, discovered her love for crochet in 2021 and she hasn’t looked back since. Within months of picking up a hook, she began creating unapologetically bold pieces that celebrate individuality, colour and self-expression. From thigh high boots covered in hundreds of hand sewn puff flowers to avant garde runway looks, Bella’s work radiates joy and defiance. By 2023 her fearless approach to design earned her a finalist spot in the Australian Wearable Arts Fashion Festival, where she went on to win the Supreme Award, an honour she reclaimed in 2024. Her high fashion crochet has since been featured in Frankie Magazine and showcased on national television and radio. I had the privilege of photographing Bella’s creations on model Jose Burke, capturing the way her work embodies the spirit of the queer community, vibrant, fluid and beautifully diverse. Through her art, Bella is redefining what crochet can be, not just a craft but a form of liberation, celebration and self-discovery. The photographs were captured on 120mm film, highlighting the texture and intimacy of Bella’s world through a timeless medium.
